Default GMA 3100 - Need help pronto!

Well when I was doing Moddok Crevice, i did it all went well and when I finish it, I get zoned to Wehhan Terraces. And poof! I get that driver thing error. I have an intergrated Video Card, I use technical terms so if you want to help me, i'm not a computer "noob". My video card is a GMA 3100 Intel, I would love help to solve this problem. My ritualist is stuck there and i can't do anything

Yes, I am aware of that bug, it is very well known with Intel Integrated Graphics chips, but I unfortunately don't know the exact hot fix for it, but I know there is one.. waiting for someone else who knows to stroll along.

If I can remember anything, I will update you.

The GMA 3100 is almost the exact same as the GMA 950, the fix for it can be applied in this case as well.

If you have the option, I would look at a discrete card ASAP. Intel never really released a working driver for this, just some amazingly bad cut and paste work. Later releases can be even worse sometimes.

I have a 1800xt 256mb waiting for me, just need to switch case. Can you please tell me what is the fix for the 950 if it's the same as the 3100.

if i remember correctly, the GMA 950 did NOT have this problem, at least with low settings.

try turning shaders to low and give it a shot. failing that, use the -noshaders switch in your GW command line to force shaders off.

are you running in directx 8 mode? those areas need dx9, and i'm pretty sure the GMA 3100 supports it.

check if you are using the -dx8 tag. if yes, remove it. also, make sure you have the latest version of dx9 (or dx10 if you have vista) installed.

I have Directx9c but on guild wars it's saying Directx 8, don't know why. I'm not using any tag, i'll try -dx9 tag.

Edit: Tried -dx9 and still same problem

You could log on from another computer, move your Rit somewhere "safe" then just avoid that area until you get your new graphics card.

Is there anyone you can trust who has a PC that you can run GW from? Don't try this from a Net café - thoroughly insecure.

I would be happy to move your rit for you if you need, afterwhich you can of course change your password. My credentials speak for themselves, or have a PlayNC dev move the rit.

GMA 3100 is definately dx9. GW should be using dx9, not dx8.

can you tell us your exact system specs, as well as any service packs, driver version on the GMA, and the date of your dx9 redistribution?
